Duck and Cover: How to Get Through the Big Blast!
"Duck and Cover" is the perfect drink for the nuclear holocaust! Just make sure you stocked up the bomb shelter's bar well in advance, as these things usually happen without much notice. (See Hiroshima.) It's a strong, kickass cocktail, with three kinds of vodka, and other cool stuff like Chartreuse and Hpnotiq (which looks and tastes like it's radioactive), with a lingering bitterness, but in a good way, as it makes you want another. (And another.) And although you very well might envy the dead, it's much better to ponder the half-life of Plutonium-239 being 24,000 years with a drink like this in hand. And of course "the proportion of casualties caused by radioactivity is quite low, as most people are either blown to pieces or burnt to death!"*
*This hilarious witticism from the website: thenakedscientists.com
DUCK AND COVER 1 part Stolichnaya Vodka ½ part Spud Ginger Lemongrass Vodka ½ part Absolut Hibiskus Vodka ½ part Green Chartreuse ½ part Hpnotiq Liqueur ½ part Schweppes Tonic Water ¼ part fresh-squeezed Lemon juice dash of Scrappy's Lavender bitters (the Wow! factor) Shake everything but Tonic Water over ice. Stir in Tonic, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
This redefines getting blasted...
